Rotorua - Just feel it!
Rotorua, the host to some of the world’s most impressive earth and natural
forces, and you know immediately that there is something different.
You can really smell that you are at a unique spot. Located just a few minutes
from Rotorua city centre are hissing geysers, pools of bubbling mud, scaling
water and unique sinter formations. See the volcanic landscape and visit one of
the 4 mayor thermal spots: Whakarewarewa, Waimangu, Waiotapu and of course
Hell’s gate. The Whakarewarewa village for example hosts the busy Pohutu geyser
which erupts about 20 times a day and can reach a height of about 30 meters.
Use your stay to enjoy one of the world most beautiful natural spas.

Rotorua Museum
As winner of ‘Best Heritage Attraction’ at the 2000,
2001 & 2002 New Zealand Tourism Awards, Rotorua
Museum is the perfect place to start your Rotorua
adventure.
Discover the essence of Rotorua and learn the great
stories and legends that have shaped the past and
present of this fascinating region.
The museum is located in the famous Bath House
Building, an icon itself.
The Blue Baths
First opened in 1933, the Spanish Mission buildings
were designed for recreational rather than medicinal
bathing. They were promoted as a glamorous place and
for the first time in New Zealand people could
indulge in mixed sex bathing.
One of New Zealand’s most loved buildings, The Blue
Baths complex reopened in 1999.
The Polynesian Spa
The Spa is one of Rotorua's popular stops with its
35 bathing pools (including hot springs and a large
mineral pool), a small hydro slide, and family spa
fresh water pool.
Open 365 days a year it offers "Aix massage" in the
Lake Spa mineral pool consisting of hot jets of
water pounding into aching muscles in the back and
limbs.
Te Wairoa - The buried
Village
Violent and unexpected, the volcanic eruption of
Mount Tarawera was New Zealand’s greatest natural
disaster. It destroyed the magnificent Pink and
White Terraces.
For more than four terrifying hours, rocks, ash and
mud bombarded the peaceful village of Te Wairoa.
Now nearly 120 years on, the excavated village
offers a first hand insight into the history where
you can take an emotional journey through the museum
which tells the fascinating story of Te Wairoa
village, the voyages to the Pink and White Terraces
and the eruption of Mount Tarawera.
